Convocation
Convocation is an event held to introduce and welcome the incoming freshmen class to the college, often held on the same day as Matriculation. The ceremony entails the freshmen gathering together during their Orientation Week, often on the Main Quad, and listening to speeches addressed to them about their upcoming four years at Trinity. Although there are sometimes multiple speakers, the President of the school always makes an address during Convocation.
Other traditions happen during Convocation, including the use of the Lemon Squeezer and the drinking of lemonade by the whole freshmen class. More recently, Convocation has also been the time where the new class of students get assigned their Nests.
