The Board also coordinated guest lectures and served as a place where students could voice their concerns. Created in 1961, the Board was composed of students from all classes, as long as they were full-time students, and included four positions for first-year students, which ensured that they too, had a say in campus activities and culture. Ultimately, the Board aimed to ensure the most useful usage of campus spaces. As with other governing boards and associations of student leaders, the Mather Hall Board of Governors eventually was replaced by an organization that remains today, the [[student_government_association|Student Government Association]]. ---- ===== Sources ===== [[https://digitalrepository.trincoll.edu/w_books/2/|Trinity College in the Twentieth Century]] (2000) by Peter and Anne Knapp, p. 365.
