Trinity Samba Ensemble
The Trinity Samba Ensemble is a music performance course started by Professor of Music, Eric Galm. The course focuses on traditional Brazilian samba drumming and its related musical styles and genre.
The group of students formed as a result of the course performing at various events on campus. This has included shows put on by the Theatre and Dance department, a performance at President Joanne Berger-Sweeney's inauguration, and most notably, Samba Fest.
Samba Fest is an annual celebration of Brazilian and other cultural music held on Trinity's campus. Samba Fest was also started by Eric Galm, and the Samba Fest Ensemble often preforms alongside Brazilian artists during the festival.
