Vernon Place
Located on Vernon Street across from the English building, the Vernon Place Residential Community houses upper-class students.
The dormitory consists of singles and four-bedroom suites including a common room, but unlike other upper-level suites, has no private bathrooms. Each floor has two bathrooms and a community lounge shared by all residents. Three Community Advisors live in the building.
The 44,000 sq. ft. dormitory and adjacent social center completed construction in 1997. The buildings were designed by architect Tai Soo Kim, who is internationally recognized and Hartford-based.
