The Cave - Dining facility in the basement of Mather Hall.

Cedar Hill Cemetery - Cemetery established in 1864 close to Trinity's Summit Campus.

Center for Caribbean Studies - Center highlighting Caribbean culture and promoting education of the broader Caribbean.

Center for Urban and Global Studies - Center promoting interactions with both global and local communities.

Cesare Barbieri Endowment for Italian Culture - Endowment established in 1958 to help support programs within the Italian Department at Trinity as well as to promote Italian language and culture within the larger community.

The Chapel (old campus) - Another name for Seabury Hall, which served as Chapel, Library, Museum, and classrooms on the original campus.

Trinity College Chapel - An imposing gothic building, completed in 1930; place for worship and other events.

Chapel Singers - The Chapel choir and the oldest student organization at Trinity College, which performs at major college and chapel events.

Chaplain - Religious leader at Trinity College from whom students of all denominations may seek care and counsel.

Charleston House of Interfaith Cooperation - Opened in 1999 as a space for students, faculty, and staff of all religions and beliefs to discuss interfaith cooperation.

Charter - The document allowing the official establishment of Trinity College (at the time Washington College), passed May 16, 1823.

Charter Day - Trinity's Birthday, generally celebrated on May 16th.

College Cheer - Alternatively called the “yell” or cheerleading at Trinity.

Class Day - A tradition where the senior class gathered for activities before commencement.

Class Ivy - A 19th century tradition where the seniors planted ivy to grow on College buildings.

Clemens Hall - Student dormitory located at 216 New Britain Avenue.

Clement Chemistry Building - Academic building that houses the Chemistry Department and Cinestudio; located at the south end of the Long Walk.

Clubs - Student-run organizations based on a variety of interests including games, athletics, music, art, literature, and more.

Trinity Coalition of Blacks - Student group formed in 1967 to create a better environment for Black students on campus and to spread awareness of Black culture.

Coeducation - The period where Trinity transitioned into admitting women to the College.

College Hill - A nickname given to Trinity College's original location in downtown Hartford.

Colors - A history of the Trinity College colors–old gold and navy blue.

Commencement - A ceremony where students receive their diplomas and officially complete their time at Trinity.

Compensation Day - A holiday given to students by the administration to make up for the cancellation of the customary football match between classes.

Computing Center in Hallden - Trinity's first computing center, located in Hallden Engineering Laboratory.

Computing Center in MCEC - The computing center that was moved from the Hallden Engineering Laboratory to the MCEC.

Concrete Jungle - Term used by students to describe the South Campus buildings.

Constitution Plaza - Location of Trinity facilities in downtown Hartford.

Convocation - Ceremony during Orientation Week to welcome incoming first-year students.

Cook Hall - Student dormitory located on the south end of the Long Walk.

Coop - The on-campus thrift store, located in the lower level of Jackson Hall.

Cornelia Center - An open space for students to gather and socialize or hold events. Formerly called Vernon Social.

Crescent Center for Arts and Neuroscience - A collaborative teaching and learning space bridging the fields of neuroscience and the arts.

Crescent Street Townhouses - Student apartment-style housing for seniors, juniors, and sophomores.

Crescent Village - An area of dormitories on Crescent Street that existed until 2013.

Crew (Rowing) - Trinity's rowing team, officially recognized in 1966 but with origins dating back to 1865.

Cricket - Club sport founded at Trinity in 1880.

Cross Country - Athletic team at Trinity College.

Cultural Houses - Houses on campus devoted to promoting diversity and cross-cultural connections.
