The center also includes four practice rooms which double as recording booths, a recording studio, and an electronic music lab featuring keyboard stations and software programs to edit music.
 The center was a gift from Josh Gruss '96, whose interest in guitar contributed to his career in music publishing. Donors Palmer Sloan Harckham '82 and Finley Harckham, and Richard Field '63, also contributed funds for the front entrance and a practice room.
